Final 2009 Sweepstakes Points Standings

Points listed below are based upon show reports for shows taking place during 2009 that were submitted to the Sweepstakes Chair. Members should send any questions to the
new Sweeps Chair, Amy Spang (sweeps@unitedangorarabbitclub.org). For 2010, we will be publishing ongoing point standings in each Newsletter (starting with the June issue), and also on the web site, making it easier for members to monitor their numbers and communicate with the Sweepstakes Chair to resolve any questions.

The UARC Sweepstakes calendar year begins on January 1st and runs through Dec. 31st

Herdsman Points

One point is awarded for each individual Angora rabbit winning a BOB or a BOS during the year (regardless of breed or whether the win counts as a Leg). For this category, each rabbit counts only once, regardless of how many wins that rabbit earns during the year.

BOB/BOS Wins

One point is awarded for every BOB and for every BOS win by a UARC member during the calendar year. Points for all Angora breeds are combined for a single score for each member.

The UARC Sweepstakes program is currently based on the three categories detailed below. Any UARC member wishing to participate in the UARC Sweepstakes program must send by email OR snail mail

to the UARC Sweepstakes Chair (Amy Spang) the following information for each show attended:

QUALITY POINTS

-1st place rabbit in a class gets 6 points X number of rabbits in the class
-2nd place rabbit in a class gets 4 points X number of rabbits in the class
-3rd place rabbit in a class gets 3 points X number of rabbits in the class
-4th place rabbit in a class gets 2 points X number of rabbits in the class
-5th place rabbit in a class gets 1 point X number of rabbits in the class

**ARBA Convention or UARC National--placements will be amended to 10th place with points adjusted accordingly

BOB AND BOS POINTS

The following points for BOB and BOS will be ADDED to the Quality Point placements (EA, FA, SA, and GA all calculated separately):

-BOB winner earns 2 Quality points X total number of rabbits shown in breed
-BOS winner earns 1 Quality point X total number of rabbits shown in breed
-BIS winner in an all-breed show earns 100 extra Quality points

-RIS winner in an all-breed show earns 50 extra Quality points
-Specialty BIS winner earns 25 extra Quality points

**In a National show, ARBA Convention, or UARC Sponsored show these
points will all be DOUBLED (both the 1-5-10th placements AND the BOB/BOS/BIS).

HERDSMAN POINTS

--1 point given for each DIFFERENT rabbit winning BOB or BOS

--Winner will be featured in an article in the Newsletter and on the
Website as 'Herdsman of the Year'

TOP BOB/BOS WINNERS FOR 2009 (calendar year)

--The person with the most BOBs and BOSs over the course of one year REGARDLESS of
entry number, show size, or identity of rabbits involved will be given an
award.
